Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. (Psalms 111:2)
When the apostle Paul found himself in Athens alone, he was touched by the fact that they had there a monument dedicated to the “unknown god.” The existence of such a monument was an expression of a deep human longing to better know the God who created us, and Paul appeals to that longing as he shares with the Athenians the revelation of God in the person of Jesus (Acts 17:22-31).
The Creator has not left us in the dark. He has revealed himself to us through the Scriptures, and those who are submitting themselves to God must look to that inspired text in order to learn about God and his will for their lives.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (Paul, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. (Paul, Colossians 1:9-10)
At the West Mobile Church of Christ, we are constantly seeking to increase our knowledge of God and his will through study of the Scriptures. It is in those texts that we find direction for our lives and hope for our future, so naturally we wish to share that truth with everyone we can. We do that in a variety of ways (all free of charge) ranging from online articles to classes to individual studies, and we invite you to join us as we learn more about our God and our Lord.
We also offer individual studies. These more informal studies are usually a small group or one-on-one format and are good for addressing individual spiritual needs or questions. If you are interested in such a study, you can contact us HERE.
